Well, what a month! We have been very busy completing the remaining renovations on villas 1, 2, 3 & 4. In the meantime, its been terrific to have guests stay, to hear their positive feedback and that they plan to return. That's what we like to hear!
As we've said on our website, we offer "Beautiful villas, with the personal touch". It was a pleasure to fulfil this after receiving a special request from one of our guests—to create a romantic setting in the villa, including rose petals, a cheese platter, chocolate and a bottle of Chardonnay. Oh, and the fire was going when they arrived, of course. Its a real joy to provide this kind of service.
Back to the renovations...
Here are a couple of before and after photos, to give you an idea of the changes.

So, while we are completing the last of the renovations (July and August), we are offering a mid-week special—pay 2/stay 3 . This means that you can stay in a one-bedroom villa for three nights at a cost of $360, for two guests. Please give us a call if you have any questions or would like to book. We can have the fire going before you arrive (if the weather demands) so you can be toastie and warm in your villa, taking in the beautiful Hunter Valley views.
If you aren't already aware, we are on Facebook and Twitter. Fans of the Hunter Valley can be kept up to date—visit and 'Like' our Facebook page. We post about concert events, services like personalised wine tours, hot-air ballooning, wineries' news and reviews of restaurants in the area.
Once our renovations are complete, we'll be looking at creating some packages, including ones with other service providers in the area. Look out for those via Facebook too!
Over the last month, we have discovered some exciting things to do in the Hunter Valley. For example, every 2nd and 4th Sunday, the Handmade in the Hunter Markets is on. Starting this Saturday, Casbar's Kitchen will be "firing up the grill to cook bacon & egg rolls, sausages and steak sandwiches".
Having read some reviews about this market and, if you are a lover of handmade items, its one to put on the itinerary.
The inaugural (first) Hunter Valley Wine Festival—Saturday, 12 October 2013—looks to be a must do also, with an extensive array of wine, food, beer and cider on offer. To celebrate, we've put together a Festival deal—this page also provides information on other events happening on that weekend.
Well, that's it from us for the time being... back to the renovations!
